Through our Becky's House®, Passages, and the Cortez Hill Family Center programs, we provide comprehensive services that include safe housing, counseling, legal assistance, employment support, financial literacy training, and supportive children’s programs to over 5,700 individuals annually in San Diego County. Victims of domestic violence can be anyone's friend, family member or neighbor. On the morning of Wednesday, February 15, Amy Kaufman a lifetime friend of the YWCA San Diego's Michelle Fraser and a Julian native, was shot and killed by her husband who then turned the gun on himself.
