Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the YWCA of San Diego County. Our 103 years of service have been fortified by the volunteers that support the success of our programs. Below is a list of the current volunteer roles we have available. Please take the time to think about what would suit your interests and availability best.

Becky’s Boutique - Work with other volunteers in our on-site client store, Becky’s Boutique. This involves serving residents, tidying up boutique, sorting through donations and completing inventory of items, assisting with childcare as needed and maintaining a positive and friendly environment for residents. This position does not require money handling as all items are provided to residents at no cost. |

Photographer - To capture before and after photos of residents following a visit to a local salon that offers free haircuts to 8 of our clients once per month. You do not need to be a professional photographer however a high quality camera would be preferred. This will happen next on March 14th. |

Food Server - Help staff and other volunteers serve dinner to families at the Cortez Hill Family Center Volunteers will need to complete an online food serving course to undertake this role |

Language Teacher - Lead a language class for a group of children or teenagers. Preferred languages are Spanish, French or Sign language – we are open to other options if you have a different language you’d be interested in sharing with a group. |

There are also other opportunities beyond those listed above. If you have a special interest or skill that you would like to share with our clients, we would love to hear your ideas and suggestions. This could include organizing an evening book club or facilitating a weekend sports activity.
