Thank you to Commissioner George Mitrovich and the San Diego Human Relations Commission for allowing our CEO, Heather Finlay, to speak at their Wednesday, January 18 meeting. Heather spoke about the work that we do at the YWCA to empower individuals to succeed and to help eliminate racism, and also addressed the issues of domestic violence and homelessness in San Diego County.
The Human Relations Commission collaborates with community groups to create comprehensive educational programs that address interracial, inter-religious and intercultural understanding Visit www.sandiego.gov/human-relations/ to learn how you can get involved with protecting human rights in San Diego.
