Have you ever been told by someone that you saved her life? If not, please let me be the first to do so. You saved someone’s life. I am always taken aback when a woman in one of our programs expresses to me, “you saved my life.” The magnitude of this statement cannot be over emphasized. This is the ultimate expression of gratitude; she is thanking me for having her life to live. She is thanking everyone at the YWCA and all of you for having her life to live.

Greetings from the YWCA, and welcome to the first addition of Becky ’s News ! My name is Heather Finlay, and I am the new CEO of the YWCA of San Diego County. I first got involved with this organization as a volunteer helping with the construction of our second Becky’s House® transitional housing community. I was also a member of the Board of Directors for three years.
