40-Hour Domestic Violence Counselor Training

YWCA of San Diego County offers a 40-hour domestic violence counselor training for advocates, students, professionals, and community members interested in receiving in-depth instruction on domestic violence and working with survivors. The next training will commence on Tuesday, June 6 and conclude Thursday, June 15.


In accordance with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, this certification offers an in-depth examination of domestic violence and serves as an invaluable tool for individuals working directly with survivors. The training program offers a counseling designation per California Evidence Code §1037.2. Attendance at all sessions is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.

A $150 training fee is due prior to the first session.
