Counseling Services

“The YWCA is helping me with my mental health issues through individual and group therapy. Now, I believe in myself. I have changed — I have become empowered.”

— Becky’s House resident

Intensive group therapy sessions are provided to all program residents at the YWCA of San Diego County. These counseling sessions cover self-esteem and assertiveness training, boundary setting, conflict resolution, and education, as well as education on the cycle of domestic violence and techniques to manage anger and stress. Individual counseling and parenting classes are also provided. Skilled therapists offer a wide range of therapeutic styles in a caring and supportive environment for individuals, families, couples, children, and adolescents.
