Counseling Services

“YWCA is helping me with my mental health issues through individual and group therapy. Now, I believe in myself. I have changed — I have been empowered.”

— Becky’s House resident

Individual and group therapy is provided to all program residents at the YWCA of San Diego County. These counseling sessions cover self-esteem and assertiveness training, boundary setting, conflict resolution, and education, as well as education on the cycle of domestic violence and techniques to manage anger and stress. Skilled therapists offer a wide range of therapeutic styles in a caring and supportive environment for individuals, families, couples, children, and adolescents.
