Tribute To Woman And Industry (TWIN)

2011 TWIN Honorees

In 1980, the YWCA pioneered the Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) awards recognition luncheon to augment the efforts of companies in recognizing their female employees for outstanding achievements.

Today, the luncheon spotlights women who are honored by their organization’s executives, co-workers, families and friends.  Employers also receive special recognition for their leadership role in providing advancement opportunities for women in the workplace.

The goals of the TWIN event are:

  • To honor women who have made a significant contribution to industry in managerial, executive or professional roles.
  • To recognize women who have made contributions to the San Diego community.
  • To honor those organizations which have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.
  • To raise funds for the YWCA’s programs that support survivors of domestic violence and homelessness, including the Becky’s House®, Passages and the Cortez Hill Family Center.
