The YWCA of San Diego County offers a bi-annual 40-hour Domestic Violence Counselor Training for advocates, students, professionals, and community members interested in receiving in-depth instruction on domestic violence and working with survivors. The training is offered in the Spring (March/April) and Fall (August/Sept) and provides a “counseling” designation in accordance with Evidence Code 1037.2. Trainings are held at the YWCA of San Diego County administration building (1012 C. Street, San Diego, CA 92101). The course costs $100 per person or $75 per person for organizations sending 4 or more people.
